About SMHA
Squamish Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) is a community-based, non-profit organization that provides a complete minor hockey program. Registration is open to all boys and girls residing in Squamish, British Columbia. The association is made up of more than 250 players, male and female, age 5 years to 19 years. SMHA has playing levels for both recreational players and more advanced players who play on our Rep teams, the Squamish Eagles. SMHA is committed to the development of every player in the association, to ensure the development of individual skills, team play and character.
SMHA is a member of Hockey Canada, British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association and the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association.

Our goal is to create an enjoyable hockey experience for recreational players while offering high-performance hockey players every opportunity to take the next step in minor hockey.
Our Logo
In 2019, through the generous support of a grant from the Squamish Arts Council, SMHA was honoured to collaborate with born and raised Squamish Nation artist, Cory Douglas to create a new logo as a piece of traditional Squamish Nation art. The SMHA tradition of an Eagle was preserved however, we wanted to better reflect our community, our heritage and our future by incorporating native art into the logo. We wear the Eagle proudly during games at home and away.
